Meet the Maker: Lisa’s Story
Hi! I’m Lisa, the maker behind Stitched Canvas & Leather.
Before I started working with leather and canvas, I was a welder for years. For the past 15 years, I’ve been running a machine shop with my husband here on the beautiful West Coast of British Columbia, in Sechelt. We design and build everyday carry (EDC) gear—and that’s where my journey into leatherwork began.
I’ve always loved working with my hands, and I’d always wanted to try leathercraft. I started by making sheaths and pouches for our EDC gear and quickly fell in love with the process. That passion turned into Stitched Canvas & Leather.
Today, I handmake each piece myself using premium leather and rugged waxed canvas. Inspired by the laid-back, practical West Coast lifestyle, I design bags, wallets, and accessories that are made to be used—day in and day out. Whether you're heading into the forest, the city, or just living your everyday life, I want my gear to fit right in.
I love the creative process of trying new things, and I care deeply about quality. Every item is crafted to last, with timeless style and honest materials.
